RocShare's first event!

Come by the parking lot at 62 N.Union Street from 9 to 6 and get free clothes, free furniture, free food, free housewares, free knowledge, and free fun! Plus we are working with Rochester Greenovation and Goodwill of the Finger Lakes to ensure anything we we don’t give away will be recycled or reused!

In the spirit of a potluck or a “Really Really Free Market” and looking like a cross between a garage sale and a party, RocShare’s Freemarket is a place to give, get, teach, learn, and play. Anyone can bring used goods and have them sorted and given away, or can bring their knowledge and creativity to contribute! Or you can just come and enjoy what others have to give! You can also get a spot of your own (for free!) to share from if you need the space or are hard to categorize.

If you want to contribute:

If you have clothes, books, housewares, and other such goods you can bring them to New Hope Free Methodist Church at drop-off times (TBD) the week previous to be sorted and we will put them out on Saturday. We will also do our best to sort and place anything brought the day of.  If you have artwork or crafts that you want to have a separate table, just contact us (through facebook, twitter, tumblr, or at to let us know, and show up with your work! (Showing up with a table as well is preferable, but we should be able to provide a(limited number of) table(s) if you don’t have one.) If you have a skill or craft you want to teach, let us know and bring any needed supplies with you the day of! Also: making yourself a sign is a good idea if you have a personal table.

We hope to see you there!
